We were craving Vietnamese and wanted to try something different than the nearby Cyclo. While Chef Papa is not that close to the waterfront, the walk was worth it. Food is delicious, staff is nice and the building/restaurant is new, clean and nice. We really liked the fried salt and pepper squid. Vermicelli and Pho were good as well. Dragon fruit cocktail was amazing.

When my friend recommended Chef Papa, I didn’t think much about the restaurant. But wow—I was blown away. The seats were plentiful but the vibe was still intimate. We ordered an array of food, but the standouts for me was the calamari and the bo kho. ESPECIALLY THE CALAMARI. Our waitress, Amanis, was incredible. She was so polite and kind! Definitely going to come back with my friend who just moved to LIC.

Excellent Vietnamese Cuisine. Everything we ordered was great, from the Vietnamese Crepe to the Crispy Wings, and soft Steamed Rice Cakes to the Grilled Lemon Chicken Vermicelli. Love the restaurant space. And the service was amazing! We will definitely be back.

Happen to be in the neighborhood and decided to investigate Chef Papa, so happy we did. Cozy & fun ambience with very friendly and helpful staff. We wanted to order everything from the beautiful menu but stuck with the classics. Everything was freshly made, each bite & sip warm, delicious and aromatic. Perfect comfort food when it's so cold outside. Definitely worth the trip.
